Full disclosure and fanboy freakout: I'm a huge fan of Exile. He's one of the greatest producers out there. Dirty Science and Radio continue to blow my mind to this day, and his albums with Blu, Fashawn, and Aloe Blacc lead the pack in what people pigeon-hole as "indie hip-hop." His MPC sets are insane (look them up on YouTube), too. Best of all, the dude isn't afraid to experiment and defy expectations (end fanboy freakout).

So when we heard Exile was looking for a video off his new album 4TRKMND, I jumped out of my seat. And through a window. Then I fell about forty feet. When I got out of the hospital, we got to work. Exile and the great Mr. Jon Kim sent us the album, and casually dropped that this was going to be Exile on the beats AND on the mic. Head asplode. We listened to the album and geeked out.

Exile said he wanted to do "Klepto," and gave us a kernel of an idea: "I want to be kidnapped and tortured by clowns." Wow. Normally we reel in our crazy ideas for projects, but this was like a free pass to Weirdoville. We collaborated, and then that idea bloomed into even more craziness.

I won't give too much more away, but you're in for a treat. After three weeks of preproduction, three insane shoot days and a good month of editing and special effects, It's almost done. It's out of the oven and cooling. Don't make me slap your hands with a wooden spoon.
